Even in lockdown a community council and local residents are managing to care for their surroundings.

Smithton Community Council organised a litter pick, including clearing broken glass, at The Gruffalo walk in Culloden.

The community council took to Facebook to share the news and pictures, revealing how concerned members of the public had made them aware of the situation.

"We wanted to make it as safe as possible to enjoy while we are in lockdown," they said.

"So with social distancing we managed to pick the broken glass along with a quick litter pick too. Thank you to all that helped."
