A new playpark is set to be built in the Inverness-shire village of Whitebridge.

Stratherrick & Foyers Community Trust has been given the green light for the project by Highland Council planners.

The new attraction for local families and visitors will be sited on a 200 square metres stretch of land at the Wildside outdoor centre, which is owned by the Trust.

There could be five fun features including a climbing frame and slide, see-saw, tactile log stack, roundabout and inclusive basket swing.

A spokeswoman for the trust said: “We will now work with our shortlisted suppliers to create some potential design options, which we will share with the community in due course.”

Local people who wish to get involved with the Trust’s play parks group should contact Kirsty by email at: kirsty-dir@sfctrust.org.uk
