A farm by Loch Ness is getting set to cater for families on the hunt for Halloween pumpkins.

Sunflower season has just finished at the Girvans' Corrimony Farm, with Barbara and David Girvan having run two weekends this month for people to come along, pick and enjoy a maze adventure.

“It has been really successful, we’ve had over 450 people come along in one weekend," Mrs Girvan said.

“Last year when we did it it was just adults but we’ve opened up to kids this year too.

“There is a higher percentage of older people that have also come out to pick the sunflowers which is really nice.”

They are now looking towards the popular Pumpkin Picking event.

Running during October, Pumpkin Picking weekends will provide an opportunity for people to go to Corrimony Farm to pick a range of different pumpkins.

There will also be food trucks on hand to allow visitors to enjoy a range of food and drink while they are there too.

“Our resident caterers will be doing their famous pumpkin munchkin donuts," Mrs Girvan said.

“They are amazing and it’s a wee niche everyone looks for when they come.

“This year we will also be having a patch indoors where people can pick pumpkins so if it's miserable weather people can stay dry.”

Pumpkin Picking weekends take place on October 13-15, 20-22 and 28-29.
