World Book Day arrived at Inverness Library with a range of fun events and celebrations

To celebrate the events 25th anniversary, High Life Highland libraries across the Highlands hosted special events.

Inverness Library treated children and young adults to a range of one-off activities, including a treasure hunt for animal pictures, jungle themed books, a special Bookbug session where staff read to kids and played with puppets, and a book sale.

They used props and backdrops on the stage to set the scene.

Even a pirate showed up to join in with the fun.

There was a jungle theme for the day, with soft toys and pictures of animals stuck around the library for children to find.
