Treat yourself to a day of pampering at the Drumossie hotel this Sunday, hosted in support of Rosalyn Paton who is performing in the Ness Factor finals in aid of Highland Hospice.

Ness Factor contestant, Rosalyn Paton is hosting a Ladies who Lunch day this Sunday (September 10) in aid of Highland Hospice, with a range of food and beauty treatments on offer.

For £25, guests will receive an afternoon tea, including tea, coffee, home baking, and sandwiches, and a choice of one half–hour beauty treatment: Gel manicure or pedicure, Indian head massage, or reflexology.

Organiser of the event and manager of Sleeping Beauty Salon, Rosalyn Paton said: "I've been working for Sleeping Beauty Salon in the Palace Hotel for over 9 years and they are supporting my Ness Factor journey by being my sponsor. The company has been a supporter of Highland Hospice for 10 years, having organised various fundraisers."

Rosalyn explained how many of the Sleeping Beauty Salon staff are fundraising for Highland Hospice this year by taking on dare–devil adventures.

She said:"Lilac, our managing director was introduced to the work of the hospice team when her mum passed away from Ovarian cancer in 2014. So this October Lilac and Helen Gillespie, the manager of our Margaret St branch, are going on the Dhali Lama trek in the Himalayas. William Young, our companies' People and Performance Manager is also fundraising with a charity parachute jump, and of course I’m doing Ness Factor – so it's going to be a challenging year for us all!"

Ness Factor hopeful Rosalyn is originally from Glasgow, and has now been living in the Highlands for around 10 years.

Rosalyn Paton is competing in this year's Ness Factor to raise funds for Highland Hospice – by taking part in a fundraising battle of singers for a chance to perform at Belladrum 2024.

Rosalyn said: "I've always admired people who had the confidence to perform on stage, and I really wanted to have that confidence myself but for a long time that goal seemed totally unattainable.

I'll never forget the time I had to stand up in English and give a talk, and I was so nervous that I nearly passed out. But I'm determined – so in 2019 I started taking singing and drama lessons and I started getting involved with the Florian's, Inverness musical theatre, and this September I'm part of Starlights ensemble for Sunshine on Leith in Eden Court.

I've come a long way, but I still want to push myself to be better. I think doing Ness Factor will be the scariest thing I've done so far, but the personal accomplishment coupled with the difference I'll be making to the charity makes it worthwhile."
