THE Highlands' inspirational strongman brothers Tom and Luke Stoltman have been inundated with messages of congratulations after reaching the finals of World's Strongest Man.

The dynamic duo have been hailed as ambassadors for the Highlands and Scotland and a terrific example of what's possible when you follow your dreams.

Two-time winner Tom achieved the runner-up slot this time around, pipped by Canada's Mitchell Hooper, claiming his first title.

Tom's brother Luke took eighth slot – capping a remarkable achievement and cementing their status as world's strongest brothers.

Tom took time out to thank those who have helped him along the way.

He posted: "I gave everything I had this year! Hitting the big dumbell was a personal goal for myself and been consistent throughout I'm very proud. I got told I wouldn't be getting near the podium due to my Arnold performance. I worked hard and gave my all!"

He has been on the podium four times in four years now, winning it twice.

He thanked his wife Sinead for her support during his preparation "and for keeping me believing when I was doubting myself".
