Inverness A-list actress Karen Gillan said it was "an honour" to lead a procession celebrating Scottish heritage through the streets of New York City.
The former Doctor Who assistant wore a stylish short kilt as part of the Big Apple's Tartan Day Parade on Saturday (April 9).
She was the Grand Marshal for the finale of the week long event which celebrates the Scottish roots of many Americans.
She strode down Manhattan's Sixth Avenue leading assorted pipebands, Shetland Vikings and various others - to the cheer of thousands of spectators.
Gillan tweeted: "It was an honour to be the Grand Marshal for this what’s Tartan Day Parade in NYC! Celebrating all things Scottish."
