PICTURES: People of all ages and abilities celebrated the anniversary of Jog Scotland Inverness with group run

Jog Scotland Inverness have been running for 10 years now, and celebrated the anniversary last Thursday.

A large group gathered at the Archive Centre, where it all began years ago, to embark on the leisurely jog.

Members chatted and reminisced, while enjoying cake after the run.

The group, which meets every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, were thanked on social media for all the hard work that had been put in over the past years.

The celebratory jog was set up by jog leader Mike Dignan. He created the group in 2012 with help of High Life Highland to create a space in Inverness where people could run together safely and friendly.

Mr Dignan originally joined the Muir of Ord group and thoroughly enjoyed it, but wanted something closer to home and set his sights on Inverness.

Jog Scotland welcomes members of all abilities across the country. There are currently 301 groups.

Membership is free, and there are a range of options from workplace groups, junior programmes, walking sessions, and groups for mums with prams.
