The Inverness Business Improvement District (BID) City Centre Awards took place tonight at the Kingsmills Hotel.

It was an evening of celebration as local retailers, cafés, salons and offices were recognised for their contribution to the community.

Hosted by Nicola McAlley, everyone was in high spirits as awards were presented to those who received the most votes from the public.

BID director Lorraine Bremner McBride said: “The city centre business awards have been both welcomed by the businesses and embraced by the public.

“The awards clearly demonstrate the interest the public has in the businesses and services that operate from the city centre, and they appreciate the mix of businesses we have, both nationals and independents given it’s the independents that provide the point of difference, but the strength of our offering is in having the two co-existing together.”

Entertainment was provided by Highland Voices Choir.
