An Inverness quiz master, who is believed to be the youngest in Scotland, is taking the reins in city pubs.

Lewis Maciver, at only 18, is making people ponder at Craig Dunain’s popular quiz nights, to keep the business blooming.

Appearing in the Rose Street Foundry and The Castle Tavern, the teenager is already attracting quite a crowd of followers.

Lewis is said to be enjoying the challenge, and Craig said his business was in safe hands while he undergoes medical treatment in Aberdeen.

Craig added: “It has been an extra special surprise for our regular quiz nights with the introduction of Lewis to the team – becoming what we think at just over 18, the youngest pub quiz master in the Highlands, if not Scotland.

“His velvet and carefully delivered tones have drawn many positive comments and we’ll be seeing a lot more of him in the coming weeks.”

He continued: “I am absolutely delighted that Lewis has come on board, it means that instead of having to cancel quiz nights they can keep going, which is good for everyone.

“We think he is the youngest quiz master in the Highlands, and perhaps Scotland – and he is good at it.”

Lewis said: “I am enjoying the job, and it is great to see all the people who come along to take part.”
