A PROBE has been launched into a house fire in Inverness which resulted in two people being treated by paramedics earlier today.

Police and fire officers are investigating the blaze in St John’s Avenue, Dalneigh, where four adults and a child managed to escape.

A man and a woman were treated for smoke inhalation and minor burns at the scene but nobody was taken to Raigmore Hospital.

Two fire engines were sent to the blaze at 2.16am and the flames were extinguished by 3am.

Investigations are being carried out to determine what caused the fire and if it will be treated as suspicious.
