The Co-op in Church Street was targeted.

A former Elgin woman now living in Inverness was placed on 18 months social work supervision and ordered to have drug treatment after dealing etizolam tablets.

Polly Woodin (26), formerly of Muirfield Road, Elgin and now of Carnarc Crescent, Inverness appeared for sentence before Sheriff Ian Cruickshank who placed her on a community payback order.

She had admitted being concerned in the supply of drugs on May 30, 2019 in a house in Lhanbryde.

Inverness Sheriff Court heard that police raided the property and found 550 tablets and a phone containing messages indicating dealing.

Woodin also pleaded guilty to stealing five bottles of brandy from the Coop in Church Street Inverness on May 19 this year.

The alcohol was recovered and returned to the shop.
