Inverness woman had drugs on A9 and at house

A 42-year-old Inverness woman who was concerned in the supply of three different drugs will be sentenced on February 29.

Carol McCrone appeared at Inverness Sheriff Court and pleaded guilty to the drugs offences involving cocaine, cannabis and ecstasy on the A9 and at a house in Temple Crescent, Inverness on August 24, 2021.

Sheriff David Harvie decided not to hear the details of the case until a background report and restriction of liberty order assessment had been prepared. McCrone’s bail was continued.

Defence solicitor advocate Shahid Latif told the sheriff: “There is an alternative to custody here.”
