A 41-year-old woman has appeared in private at Inverness Sheriff Court on a charge of robbery.

Claire Potts, aka Jamie Leigh Jones, from Inverness made no plea, was committed for further examination and released on bail.

Before her petition appearance, Potts, of Assynt Road, pled guilty in open court to possessing heroin and cocaine in the city's Kinmylies area.

Fiscal depute Stewart Coleman said police stopped the car she was in and found 0.5 grams of cocaine and 0.6 grams of heroin.

Sheriff Robert Frazer deferred sentence on her for five months until January 4 next year for her good behaviour.
