Inverness vandal assaulted police officer

A police constable was kicked on the body when he went to arrest a man who damaged a car's wing mirror.

Lee Drummond of Craigton Avenue, Inverness, appeared at Inverness Sheriff Court and admitted a charge of vandalism and police assault.

The offence took place on October 23 last year in Bridgeview Drive, Inverness.

Sentence was deferred on the 22-year-old until July 6 for a background report.
