New Tomnahurich canal swing bridge in Inverness reopens

The new Tomnahurich canal swing bridge that was closed on August 5 due to operational problems, has been reopened to vehicular traffic today.

Before today, all traffic was converted to the adjacent older swing bridge.

The bridge was fixed in an open position and only available to canal traffic while a new part was being sourced by Highland Council.
