Inverness sports dinner to bring ex Sky Sports man to city in aid of Marie Curie charity

TV presenter David Tanner will be host when a fundraising sports dinner is held in Inverness this autumn for charity.

The black-tie event, is promising an evening of sporting stars when it takes place in the MacDonald Drumossie Hotel on Friday, November 17.

David Tanner, formerly of Sky Sports and currently a broadcaster with TalkSport, will host the event, which will take place at 6.30pm for a 7pm start.

And a host of guests from the "worlds of football, boxing, darts, curling, kick boxing, disability sports, and many more" are also being promised.

"This year’s 2023 Sports Dinner will be hosted by David Tanner, one of the UK’s most accomplished broadcasters, instantly recognisable as a live football TV presenter and with a growing reputation as one of the best event hosts on the circuit," said a spokesperson.

"Enjoy a sparkling drinks reception on arrival, followed by a delicious three-course meal with wine and conversations with our sporting host and guests.

Tickets are £90 each and are available from trybooking.co.uk/CDBB. Tables of 10 or 12 are available, and special room rates are also available at the MacDonald Drumossie Hotel

The evening is in aid of Marie Curie and is being organised by the charity's Inverness and Ross-shire Fundraising Group.
