Inverness singer's RockNess warm-up

INVERNESS band James Mackenzie And The Aquascene enjoyed the sunshine backstage at RockNess …after weathering their first crisis.

Setting up a short live session for the TV cameras, James snapped a string on his acoustic guitar tuning up.

The 24-year-old had to race back to his car to find a replacement.

“It felt like winning the lottery and then losing the ticket.”

James, who had to dash back to Inverness for a gig, returns to the festival to open the main stage action on Sunday at 1.30pm.
