INVERNESS SHERIFF COURT: Sex offender jailed for persistently ignoring regulations
The man flouted rules limiting his contact with the opposite sex.
Donald Macrae of Waterloo Place, Inverness, had been placed on a Sexual Offences Prevention Order in July last year.
It is intended to protect the public from sexual attacks by strict supervision and rules.
But the 28-year-old flouted some of those regulations which required him to report any acquaintance or contact with females.
Inverness Sheriff Court heard he repeatedly went out with one woman, texted another to ask if she was a stripper and maded compliments about a third.
He also failed to complete an annual notification which was to be registered by the end of March 2019.
Sentencing Macrae to six months imprisonment, Sheriff Neil Kinnear told him, after reading a background report: "The social worker has no confidence you will comply with orders of the court."
