INVERNESS SHERIFF COURT: Prisoner caught with sim card

A man has admitted having a sim card for a mobile phone in prison.

Paul Callaghan (29) pleaded guilty to having access to a personal communications device on January 21, despite not being present at Inverness Sheriff Court.

The offence took place at Porterfield prison, the court heard.

Sentence was deferred for a personal appearance until September 1.
