A MAN was arrested after he threw a can at a neighbour’s window.

Inverness Sheriff Court heard police were called to the city’s St Valery Park on July 27 after reports of a disturbance.

Fiscal depute Naomi Duffy-Welsh said Jack Horne (20) had been involved in an earlier incident before returning to the scene.

He admitted behaving in an abusive manner there and en route to Burnett Road police station where he shouted and swore and uttered offensive remarks. He also head-butted a police vehicle and spat on it.

Solicitor Willie Young said Horne was on a community order for other matters and regretted his behaviour, when he had just been told by his mother he was not welcome at her house. She wanted to re-engage with him he added.

Horne, of Gilbert Court, Inverness, was placed under supervision for a year and ordered to do 100 hours unpaid work.
