A MAN has admitted a string of motoring offences.

Duncan MacLennan (18) pleaded guilty to 11 charges at Inverness Sheriff Court.

On April 25 he took a vehicle without the owner’s consent from the Dalcross Industrial Estate and drove it the following day on Longman Road with no licence and no insurance.

He was also caught speeding in excess of 100mph and failed to stop for a police officer.

MacLennan, of Rowan Road, Inverness, also admitted being behind the wheel in Ullapool on April 10 despite having no licence, test certificate or insurance.

He had also stolen fuel and had again taken the vehicle without the owner’s consent.

He was also found to have driven carelessly at excessive speed. Sentence was deferred to October 3 for reports.
