A WOMAN has been banned from getting behind the wheel after she was seen driving “erratically” while under the influence of prescription medicine.

Witnesses had reported Suzanne Larkin’s red Audi to police due to concerns about how it was being driven near the Kessock Bridge on April 27.

Larkin (36), of Ross Place, Dingwall, admitted driving while unfit due to drink or drugs when she appeared at Inverness Sheriff Court.

Fiscal depute Emma Petersen said police who headed to the scene noted damage to a vehicle and debris on the road.

Larkin was traced to her home where she was found to have slurred speech and glazed eyes.

Solicitor Clare Russell said Larkin had taken prescription medicines but thought she was OK to drive.

She was banned for 12 months and fined £400.
