A CONVICTED drug dealer was back in court and admitting supplying friends with drugs.

Liam Munro, of Hilton Court, Inverness, had been jailed for 15 months in 2017 and this week admitted being concerned in the supply of cannabis during a week in August 2020.

Inverness Sheriff Court was told police obtained a search warrant for his home on August 21, 2020 and found cannabis, a grinder, scales and a mobile phone.

When the device was analysed, police found 19 messages from people wanting to buy the Class B drug from the 35-year-old.

Defence solicitor Myhrin Bill said: “He was involved in social supply. It was for a group of friends who smoked cannabis.”

Sheriff Sara Matheson deferred sentence until November 24 for a background report and restriction of liberty order assessment.

She told Munro: “Let’s see if there is an alternative to custody here.”
