Police received intelligence that the man was in possession of illegal substances.

Dean Barrow (35), of Duff Street, Inverness, was traced to the city's Church Street on July 9 last year and searched.

Fiscal depute Pauline Gair told Inverness Sheriff Court that 100g of cocaine was recovered, with a street value of approximately £6000. He also had 14.5g of heroin though no value was given for this.

Barrow admitted possessing both drugs with intent to supply.

He had been remanded in June after failing to appear for an earlier hearing.

Sheriff Eilidh Macdonald deferred sentence until September 20 for a drug treatment and testing order assessment and released Barrow on bail meantime.
