HIGHLAND Council has warned that part of a major route through Inverness will be closed tomorrow night (Wednesday July 8 ) and Thursday night (July 9).

The closure is required in the interests of public safety during resurfacing of the Kenneth Street/Tomnahurich Street junction, by a contractor working on behalf of Bear (Scotland) Ltd.

Alternative routes will be available for all traffic affected by this closure.

Motorists are advised that the temporary road closures will be in operation between 7pm on Wednesday July 7 until 7am on Thursday July 8 and between 7pm on Thursday July 8 until 7am hours on Friday July 9.

Kenneth Street will be closed from its junction with Ardross Place to its junction with Tomnahurich Street.

Tomnahurich Street (forming part of the B861) will be closed from its junction with Alexander Place to its junction with Tomnahurich Street, which forms part of the A82 trunk road between Inverness and the west.
