Residents in the IV2 postcode area of Inverness left without power with supply expected to be restored by 3pm – it is understood 86 customers are affected in Stephen Street, Oakwood Court and surrounding areas of the Highland capital

Residents in the IV2 postcode area of Inverness have been left without power.

The unplanned outage was reported just after noon and it is expected that power will be restored by 3pm.

A Scottish and Southern Electricity Networks spokesman said they were sorry for the loss of supply and anyone who needs information should either contact 105 or via social media.

It is understood that an engineer is en route to the site and 86 customers are affected in Stephen Street, Oakwood Court and surrounding areas.
