Rag 'n' Bone Man gig cancelled in Northern Meeting Park, Inverness
The Rag 'n' Bone Man gig that was due to take place at Northern Meeting Park tonight has been cancelled.
The event organiser LCC Live Events has issued a statement saying that it had to take the 'difficult decision' to cancel tonight's performance as the band was not able to make its way to Inverness due to travel issues.
However, Rag 'n' Bone Man himself - real name Rory Graham - has actually made it to Inverness, but cannot perform without the rest of his band and crew.
A spokesperson for LCC Live Events said: "It is with deep regret that we have had to make the difficult decision to cancel the concert at the Northern Meeting Park on today, Sunday 2nd July 2023.
"Due to unforeseen and unavoidable travel issues - with flights being cancelled for the band and crew on their way to Scotland and all avenues of alternative travel means exhausted - the show is logistically impossible to put on without the team and equipment that are unable to get to Inverness today.
"We can only apologise to the thousands of customers who had booked tickets to see the concert.
"Those who had purchased tickets will be contacted directly by their relevant ticket agency about refunds in the coming days, please look out for an email from them."
A flight from Gatwick to Inverness was cancelled last night, and a flight from Inverness to Gatwick was cancelled this morning.
