Coyote's in Academy Street is set to close.

Coyote Burger will close its Academy Street premises today as it moves to a new Inverness site.

The family-run burger bar is to take residence in the premises formerly occupied by the Jimmy Chung’s Chinese buffet franchise in Bank Street.

Signage started to appear at a prime riverside location last month.

A message from the firm's David and Fern posted on social media stated that it was their last day in Academy Street today.

They invited people to "join us for our last ever day in our wee Academy Street location before we move into our bigger and better premises on the river! ⁣

"From making the best maple bacon donuts you will ever eat to now serving up the best bacon cheeseburgers in the city… It’s been the craziest journey since we opened up back in January 2019! We’ve had a blast and made some of the bestest pals along the way!⁣

⁣"We would never be able to make this big exciting move without our incredible team and customers! We can’t thank you all enough for your continued support! We are so excited for you guys to see what we’ve been up to this past few months!"
