Inverness police appeal after fire outbreak believed to be deliberate

A fire in Inverness is being treated as deliberate and police have appealed for information.

Emergency services were called to a property on Rosehaugh Road around 7.15am on Tuesday, 26 December, 2023, and later the CID were brought in.

Police Scotland said the case was being treated as wilful fireraising.

Detective Constable Claire Maclean of Inverness CID said: “Our enquiries are ongoing and I would ask anyone who may have witnessed anything suspicious to come forward.

“We would also appeal to anyone with private CCTV or dashcam footage of the area at the time to get in touch.”
