Inverness MP Drew Hendry has announced his office will no longer be open for the public to drop in as part of the effort to reduce the spread of coronavirus.

Mr Hendry stressed, however, he is still available for help and support and is urging people to contact his team by telephone or email.

In a tweet, the MP for Inverness, Nairn, Badenoch and Strathspey said: "In order to ensure my team and I can continue to help as many constituents as possible, and in support of efforts to reduce the spread of Covid 19, my office will no longer be open for public drop in, but we are still here to help constituents."

His office is based in Kenneth Street, Inverness.

In place of his usual face-to-face advice surgery, he will have a telephone advice surgery this Friday between noon and 2pm.

"If you have an issue and need my help, get in touch and my office will arrange an appointment," he said.

Anyone wanting to call his office can do so on 01463 611024.

"My office receives a high level of calls so if you don't get an answer, please leave your name, number and a short message and we will call you back," he said.

People can also email him on drew.hendry.mp@parliament.uk along with their contact information, postal address and a summary of their issue and he will get back as soon as possible.
