Inverness man headbutted police officer

A police officer was headbutted by a 23-year-old Inverness man who was being sought in connection with another incident.
Kyle Scott, of Bailey Place, appeared at Inverness Sheriff Court and admitted three charges including the police assault in Greig Street on April 19, this year and assaulting a woman in nearby School Lane on the same day by striking her on the head with his hand.
He also pleaded guilty to a breach of bail.
Scott had sentence deferred by Sheriff Sara Matheson until October 5 for a background report.
