Inverness man granted bail after alleged incident at Raigmore Estate

A 56-year-old man who appeared in private at Inverness Sheriff Court the day after an alleged incident in the Raigmore Estate of Inverness on Sunday, January 14 has been released on bail.

The incident attracted a large police presence and a flurry of social media activity.

Nicholas O'Sullivan, from Inverness, then made no plea to charges of assault to severe injury and danger of life, assault to injury, threatening behaviour and racially aggravated conduct.

He was committed for further examination and remanded in custody.

His next appearance was due to be within eight days but on January 16, O'Sullivan lodged a bail appeal and it was granted.
