Sentence has been deferred on a 45-year-old Inverness man who allowed his house to be used for supplying heroin.

Jan Lastovka appeared at Inverness Sheriff Court and admitted the April 12, 2022 offence, as well as possessing the Class A narcotic at his Waterloo Place flat.

Defence solicitor Rory Gowans told Sheriff Eilidh Macdonald: "There is a background here. A criminal justice social work report would be useful."

Sheriff Macdonald agreed and Lastovka will reappear on February 8 next year to be dealt with.
