The latest addition to the Highland capital's hotel offering, the 175-bedroom AC Marriott Hotel, is emerging from its scaffolding ahead of its planned opening later this year.

Occupying a riverside location of the site of the former Inverness swimming pool and baths, the development has been described by developer Vastint Hospitality as a modern and affordable hotel with the feel of luxury.

As part of the worldwide Marriott brand, Vastint also hope the four-star facility will appeal to overseas visitors, particularly from the North American market.

Designed by Glasgow architectural practice Keppie Design, the modular design has enabled a quick construction process to take place, despite delays caused by the Covid-19 pandemic.
