WORK is well under way for The Gathering festival in Inverness on Saturday.

The stage was going up and the toilets were being put down this week in preparation for the welcome return of the big occasion set in the beautiful Northern Meeting Park in the centre of Inverness.

The Gathering is celebrating the best in Scottish folk and trad music, culture, food and drink.

The feast of family friendly entertainment over the day will include Skerryvore Wolfstone, Peatbog Faeries, Red Hot Chilli Pipers, Kinnaris Quintet, Mairearad & Anna, Torridon, Trail West, Glin, and Rhythmnreel.

Hoping for blue skies on Saturday.
