Inverness BID is hoping to secure more than £60,000 to fund its city centre floral displays.

The organisation had applied to the Inverness Common Good Fund for £69,378 for the project.

Members of Highland Council's city of Inverness area committee will consider the application tomorrow.

However a sub committee has recommended that councillors should approve a reduced grant of £64,150 because of the need to accommodate increased budget pressures within the fund.

If the committee approves the application the funding would be subject to the approval of the council's 2023/24 budget.
