Police raided an Inverness house after receiving information that one of the occupants was dealing drugs.

But 22-year-old Liam Gosling's family were unaware he was selling cannabis from their home in Wimberley Way, Inverness Sheriff Court heard.

Officers recovered several bags of the drug on June 16, 2020, weighing 24.2 grams with a street value of £320. They also discovered scales, a quantity of cash and a mobile phone with messages indicating he had been dealing.

Fiscal depute David Morton told Sheriff Sara Matheson: "He told police he was involved in social supply and none of his family knew."

First offender Gosling, of Esk Road, Inverness admitted being concerned in the supply of drugs and was ordered to carry out 150 hours of unpaid community work.

Defence solicitor Rory Gowans said: "He started smoking cannabis and strayed into dealing to like-minded friends. He has not been involved in this type of enterprise since."
