Police found a woman driving while almost five time the legal drink-drive limit.

A woman who was found behind the wheel while almost five times the legal alcohol limit has been fined and banned from driving.

Rebecca Geddes (49) of Moray Park Terrace, Culloden, admitted at Inverness Sheriff Court to driving with 100mcgs of alcohol in her system.

The legal drink-drive limit is 22mcgs.

She was fined £520 and banned from driving for 14 months.

However Sheriff Sean Lynch certified Geddes as suitable for the drink-drive rehabilitation scheme, which she must fund herself.

If she successfully completes it she will earn a 14 week discount on the period of her disqualification.
