A 37-YEAR-OLD Inverness man had sentence deferred for a background report and restriction of liberty order assessment after admitting a charge of domestic abuse.

Maciej Stasiak, of Balloan Road, also admitted a breach of a special bail condition not to contact his partner.

Stasiak pleaded guilty to repeatedly trying to contact his partner at properties in Bruce Gardens and Anderson Street between August 30, 2020 and September 24, 2020, sending her emails, texts, and a letter all causing her to experience considerable fear and alarm.

Sheriff David Sutherland ordered Stasiak to return for sentencing on November 11 without hearing all the facts of the charges against him.
