Inverness contestant stirs up fuss on Love Island

INVERNESS personal trainer Wallace Wilson made a first date splash before millions of viewers of ITV's Love Island – after uttering the phrase “diluting juice”.

The 24-year-old model’s use of the common term for a squash drink confused fellow contestant Sophie Piper as they dined together.

The 21-year-old medical PA from Essex repeatedly failed to pronounce “diluting” before giving up.

On Twitter, where Mr Wilson’s first name Wallace has been trending globally, DJ and broadcaster Arielle Free wrote: “Every Scottish person screaming as we have to explain diluting juice every time.”

But Benny Jones, a social media and TV personality, backed Sophie saying: “Anyone that calls squash diluting juice cannot be trusted.”
