This weekend marks the return of the annual Inverness Classic Vehicle Show in the city centre.

Taking place on Saturday (May 20) the popular event will be an opportunity to see a wide variety of vehicles on display on Church Street, High Street, Inglis Street and Falcon Square. At 3pm the Parade Finale takes place through Inverness High Street with the procession of vehicles led by the City of Inverness Youth Pipe Band.

The much loved event is also going on a day trip in order to bring the show to the residents of Kingsmills Care Home who cannot get out to the main event.

Margaret Laws from the event organiser Inverness BID said: "Kingsmills Care Home got in touch with us to see if we could take some of the cars up for the residents to see.

"Lawrence Sutherland is going to bring two of his vehicles to the home for the residents to see.

"One of them is the old grocers van that used to go around the Highlands so I think they will all enjoy seeing that. It's the vans first appearance in many years so it is a special occasion."
