Classic car lovers were spoiled for choice in and around the city centre today with the return of the Inverness Classic Vehicle Show.

The popular event was an opportunity to see a wide variety of vehicles on display in Church Street, High Street, Inglis Street and Falcon Square.

Those showcasing vehicles from across the year also made a special trip out to the city's Kingsmills Care Home to give residents there, who couldn't make it down to town, the chance to enjoy the spectacle anyway.

Event organiser Margaret Laws of Inverness BID said: "There was such a buzz in the city centre and it was lovely to see so many people of all ages enjoying the day.

"The event brings back a lot of memories for people and its lovely to hear folk reminiscing about their old cars and passing their stories down to the younger ones.

"The street entertainment was a great success too with the fascinating flea circus providing lots of fun and the hilarious Mad Hatter Characters bringing lots of laughs.

"We were delighted to have organised it for the 13th year and look forward to next year!
