Children at an Inverness childminding service enjoyed a visit to find out about helicopters.
Children from TinTin's childminding in the Crown area of Inverness took a day trip out to visit Inverness Airport and take a look at the helicopters at PDG Aviation.
Tina Strain, the owner of TinTin's, said many of the children had recently been captivated by helicopters and aeroplanes, expressing their interest by reading books and making models and pictures at home.
The visit to the airport aimed to be a fun as well as informative for the six children she provides care for.
The day out began with a trip inside Inverness Airport, in which they were able to observe the security staff and baggage ramps in action.
Afterwards, the children were able to take a look at two helicopters from PDG with an explanation of the different parts of the engine and a video on their operations.
Tina added: “The children always are fascinated with seeing helicopters or planes flying overhead when outside playing, so as an early learning environment we are led by the children's interests.”
