CURIOUS visitors eager to check out the new Inverness Castle tower viewpoint will only have five days to enjoy a free sneak peak before charges come in.

The north tower will open its doors to visitors on Monday following lengthy work to transform it into a tourist attraction.

As promised, operator High Life Highland will be giving people a small window in which to check it out free of charge. This was flagged as being “up to two weeks” earlier this year, but will now only run until next Friday. After this it will cost £5 for adults and £3 for children.

The tower will be open from 11am to 6pm daily, increasing to 10am to 7pm in June, July and August. It will also be available for private hire outwith normal hours.
