There is doubt over whether the company behind bringing big name gigs to Inverness Caledonian Stadium will pay some firms it appears to owe money.

Inverness Caley Thistle Concert Company is said to owe thousands of pounds to sponsors following events featuring singer Andrea Bocelli and Duran Duran in July.

A document seen by the Courier alleges that multiple firms have been informed by directors that the company "exceeded its budget".

As a result Dundee based firm Ascot Tax has been brought in to try and resolve the issue.

Creditors have been named in a letter outlining a company voluntary arrangement, which is "recommended" as the course of action.

A one off dividend is being offered which will amount to 65 per cent to the creditors.

One sponsor, who wishes to remain anonymous, said: "We are owed thousands of pounds."

The events company – which is separate to the football club – has been contacted for comment.
