The regional prize for Scotland in the Heating Installer Awards 2023 (HIA) has been awarded to Inverness business-owner Daniel Gordon.

Through his business, DG Plumbing and Heating, Daniel has over 10 years of experience in the industry and offers a wide range of services for his customers in the Inverness area.

The awards scheme, now in its eighth year, recognises the achievements and raises the credibility of plumbers and heating installers across the country who deliver excellent customer service on a daily basis.

The panel of representatives from HIA partners and last year's national winner, John Cruickshank, gave Daniel the award after he wowed them with his expertise, problem solving skills and commitment to customer satisfaction.

Daniel said: “I’m so happy to have won the regional award for Scotland. A lot of effort went into this job from the whole team and I’m just glad the judges recognised that. I’m excited to be moving forward in the competition and onto the next stage.”

Daniel is now in contention for the national championship.

Public votes contribute to a quarter of Daniel's final score – alongside the scores from the judges and from a technical challenge set for all regional and highly commended winners. You can vote for Daniel by visiting the HIA website.

Voting closes tomorrow and the winner will be announced on June 28 at the Installer Show 2023 – the UK’s national plumbing and heating show.
