Hogmanay revellers are being reminded that an Inverness city centre bridge will be closed for several hours either side of the bells.

Highland Council has confirmed that the Infirmary Bridge will be closed from 7pm on Hogmanay until 2am on New Year's Day to coincide with the Red Hot Highland Fling in the nearby Northern Meeting Park.

The pedestrian bridge has a weight limit and is regularly closed during major events when large numbers of people might otherwise use the crossing at the same time.
