A cosmetic clinic in Inverness has been named Scotland's best after taking the top award in its category at the third Scottish Beauty Industry Awards.

RP Diamond Aesthetics, based at Milton of Leys, was named Scottish cosmetic clinic of the year at the awards ceremony, which returned to the Marriott Hotel in Glasgow last weekend after the Covid crisis forced the cancellation of last year's event.

Although business owner Rebecca Bremner was unable to attend the Glasgow ceremony in person, she was delighted to be told of the Inverness clinic's win, which she described as a total shock.

“I am over the moon to win the award," she said.

"A massive thanks to all my clients for supporting a local business, especially with the year we have had. You guys have made this happen for me!

"I am still in shock, I am delighted to bring this award back to Inverness."

Working from a custom built garden studio at her home, which some customers find more comfortable than a busy salon environment, RP Diamond Aesthetics offers a number of treatments including hair removal, pigmentation clearance, thread vein reduction, skin rejuvenation, acne support and clearance, microcurrent facials, microdermabrasion and ultrasound facials.

"The business is currently going from strength to strength and we are very proud that most of the clients are from word of mouth," Rebecca said.

"I feel this is a strong indicator that clients are very happy with the services, treatments and overall experience that are provided.

"Realising how much we change people's lives has given us the inspiration to keep driving forward and we are also looking into clinics in and around the Highlands and Islands. We have clients that travel from some distance and I feel that there are many out there that we could help but that perhaps can't come to us."

The Scottish Beauty Industry Awards showcase doctors, dentists, aesthetic clinics, hair and beauty teams and spas amongst others working in the fast-growing beauty sector.

A spokesperson for awards, said: “The beauty sector plays a vital role in the country’s economy and enhances the local community by employing hundreds of staff.

“The awards showcased those who promote excellence, set the trends and turn any dream look into reality. These specialists inspire others when it comes to the big and competitive world of beauty.

“We would like to congratulate all finalists and winners for their achievements and we hope that they will keep up their amazing work.”
