Some of the region’s top businesswoman have been recognised at an annual awards in Inverness.

Inverness-based marketing agency Planit Scotland scored a hat-trick of accolades at the Highland Business Women Awards.

Some 170 guests were at the event, sponsored by The Springfield Group, at the city’s Kingsmills Hotel last Thursday evening. The occasion was designed to recognise the significant contribution that women make to all types of businesses and organisations in the area, as well as their contribution to the wider economy.

The winners were are:

Entertainment was provided by Highland Voices Choir and a local magician.

Cecilia Grigor, managing director of Planit Scotland, said: “Out of every award, I’m delighted to take team of the year home. At the start of Covid, we only had two team members, and now we’ve got this lot who I am so proud of.

“They try so hard, we work remotely which is difficult and they are amazing.”

The event raised £3000 for Highland-based mental health chairty Mikeysline through a raffle.
